A megalopolis of 30 million people, Chongqing offers an endless skyline of skyscrapers, crazy taxis, people steeped in tradition and food that will make you gasp.

The convergence of two rivers forms a rushing centre-point in this mountainous city whose streets never sleep. Fast becoming one of the world’s great metropolitan powers, Chongqing will not rest should you tire, nor offer comfort if you feel far from home.

If you are after a dull internship for a big company stop reading now. But if you are passionate and think you can handle it, Chongqing will blow your mind open and change your life. Click on the graphic below to explore Chongqing on the map.

Chongqing is China’s largest inland city, located in the south-east of the Sichuan Basin at the junction of the Yangtze River and Jialing River

Eight undergraduates will be invited to form the 2013 CQubists team and jump headlong into this booming city of pace and spice. Whether an Architect or Economist, Geographer, Film maker or Philosopher, if chosen, your task will be to utilise skills and intuition to observe, eat, explore and create.

As part of CQubed and in collaboration with local students and experienced entrepreneurs, the outcomes will be as diverse as those people that form them. An app or a restaurant, mapping or data visualisation… the possibilities are endless.
